Small Moments

Small Moments Last a Lifetime

Don’t be tricked into thinking the things that matter the most will change in an instant. In fact, the sudden shifts and breakthroughs we want to see in life would be very welcome in a fast-paced world. But in reality, that’s not how it goes. Transformation isn’t a dramatic shift. With Kind Rebirths, I want to set the stage for placing you in the world of reality and not selling you false promises or ideas. Like everything else worth having, it takes time to build. I am happy to say that I have witnessed change (on a big scale), but it wasn’t done overnight. It was a series of small, insignificant, but particularly important changes that would happen sporadically.

As much as I am telling you that things move in small steps, I also don’t want you to spend your wheels waiting for the grand culmination of events. Practicing a mindful spirit asks you to stay in the present of each small moment. The lesson isn’t at the end of the road; it’s the steps along each mile of the journey. Each step is poised to teach you something new, make you appreciate something different, or show you how to appreciate more what you already possess. The key is to stay consistent in your journey and observe the guides you meet along the way.

Another goal of a mindfulness practice is meant to show us how the small choices shape our world inwardly and the face that we show to the world. Growth isn’t loud and it doesn’t need to be in order to be meaningful. A Kind Rebirth unfolds quietly.

Maybe you feel like you need to reinvent yourself. Well, if you do, do it with kindness and compassion for yourself and others around you. But I bet you don’t need the reinvention you think you do. I believe it’s already within you. We just need to take more intentional steps toward healing and the willingness to keep on choosing that path consistently.

Stay mindful…

Rebirth
