Soulmates and Kind Rebirths: A Path of Awakening
Soulmates and Kind Rebirths: A Path of Awakening
Love is beyond coincidence and chemistry. It’s a force that beckons for the soul. Once it attaches to a soul, that soul, in turn, begins to search for equal energy to partner with. I believe these connections transcend time and space but it remains on the search. And with just the right cosmic pull, these connections sometimes arrive quietly and over a period of time. Sometimes they crash land unexpectedly shaking and disrupting many of the things we think we know about ourselves. What it is looking for is commonly referred to as a soulmate.
Soulmates are people in our lives (this one, past ones, and future ones to come) that don’t just touch our lives, they transform them. They are often described as a person whose energy or spirit deeply resonates or mirrors with our own. These people you share intense emotional, spiritual and other indescribable, unexplainable connections. And these connections transcend superficial and materialistic interests, your souls feel connected from times beyond the present. There is an air of destiny and your relationships when rekindled are the ultimate kind rebirth of feeling and rejuvenation. Soulmates are not bound by romantic love; some are platonic relationships. But whichever it is, any encounter brings familiarity, and purpose, and peace. Unfortunately, they are not always meant to last forever by your side or in your life, but a key and profound feeling that stays with you a long time is that meeting (or the chance to meet again).
When our lives cross again, they awaken us to a Kind Rebirth. It is a spiritual and emotional renewal that demonstrates succinctly the cycle of rebirth – love, loss and then rediscovery.
What Makes a Soulmate Special?
Soulmates do not perfectly align. They don’t always like the same foods as you, the same movies, the same colors, the same sports, etc. While they share many commonalities, their specialty lies in their ability to connect the dots of our lives; providing answers to questions to which we have been searching for answers or simply providing a comfort that has no real answers. The way you feel around them feels like something old but at the same time something new. Their presence has a way of unlocking memories and emotions that we have forgotten or ones yet to be. Every encounter carries a purpose and be open to letting each of these moments teach you something about yourself. They are there to make you better.
How do Soulmates Create Rebirths
Great love stories usually end in a fantastic union (or reunion) at the conclusion of a movie. Sometimes it ends in heartbreak – breakup or a death or something generally less happy. But in either ending, a possibility for a rebirth is present. When we love deeply, we rebirth wisdom, compassion, and faith. We learn to let our illusions (delusions) and our past attitudes and beliefs pass.
Rebirth through the presence of a soulmate is a trigger for love the consequence. Our deepest emotions emerge from our being and lead us to confront the past wounds from hurt we have ignored or have buried deep down. They push us to transformation because they rebuild hope. In our darkest times, this is truly a gift from divinity. “To live without hope is to cease to live”….Fyodor Dostoevsky .
As I mentioned earlier, the soulmate we find may not be the soulmate we keep. Sometimes it’s just for a season. But even through the fire, we are taught a lesson that the divine universe believes we need. A true Kind Rebirth doesn’t cling to the fact that love is here to pacify us or simply to make us comfortable. It’s here to expand our wisdom and make our mindful eye more aware. So, take comfort in knowing that when a soulmate partnership ends in this moment, it is not failure, it is not something to dread for a lifetime. It’s a right of passage that moves us from one condition to another.
Treat the love from your soul’s mate as a gift, not a possession
The blessing of a soulmate or the realization of him or her is not a prized possession. It is a gift. It is a reflection of who we are. Reunion with a soulmate or any loved one is not permission to lose yourself in them or to develop an unhealthy attachment. Consider that they are meant to help us find ourselves and that by having them, conversely, it teaches us that they, like all things, are not meant to covet. They too will pass as do all things. We must enjoy our time with them, enjoy the lessons we learn from them, and then share all that we have gained from them.
How is the best way to honor this relationship? Well, here, I would say that by practicing mindfulness and awareness, we began to understand that these are valuable growth opportunities. They benefit us directly, but then our peace and compassion blesses the collective. So, treat this as the awakening we need to continue passing reverence forward. Remember, this rebirth we’ve gained is full-circle and all-encompassing. It is an emotional healing and also a spiritual one, as well.
Kind Rebirths is Where Love and Growth Meet
In the Kind Rebirths collective, we see soulmate connections as sacred teachers because they transform and heal. Despite whether the ride is smooth sailing or bumpy and turbulent, knowing these types of influential relationships exist is encouraging. Further, they remind us that the journey of love is the journey of becoming more whole and completing our circle to becoming…becoming more conscious and becoming more kind.
Love, loss, and renewal, remember. This is a pattern for human existence. Loss is not the end but start of a promising rebirth. Our soulmates, no matter how it persists, are there to encourage and motivate and to demonstrate. Kind Rebirths support the fact that love never truly leaves. It transforms with us. When we find our soulmates (no, relocate them), remember that our union with them is not to complete us in the way that many attribute them; they present themselves to awaken a rebirth in us.
Stay mindful…
