About

Dr. DaRon J Parker, Jr. (known by family and close friends as DJ) grew up on the Northside of Richmond, Virginia. There he attended a private elementary and middle school before moving across town to attend public high school. Upon graduating with his high school diploma, he moved to Norfolk, Virginia to attend Old Dominion University, becoming the first in his immediate family to graduate college in the first class of the year 2000. After spending time teaching high school and chasing entrepreneurial ventures with his closest friends, he hit a wall and moved back to Richmond. After believing his life was stuck, he turned to reading religious and philosophical books at Barnes and Noble, realizing his deep interest in eastern religion. After returning to the Hampton Roads area in 2006, he began his next career in higher education. While working there, he continued to study and research in his off time. Making modest employment ascents over the next 10 years, he began his master’s program (finishing in 2018). DaRon enrolled in a doctoral program finishing his terminal degree in 2022 with his Doctor of Education in Education (Dissertation Title – Critical Thinking Skills in a Postsecondary World Religion Course to Improve Religious Tolerance) helping him to flourish in two appointments as university and college Registrar in two prominent institutions.

Almost immediately after finishing this last degree, the universe delivered the slogan and personal aspiration, Kind Rebirths. While humbly taking credit for the dissemination to the world, he often proclaims that [it’s] “purely of God’s and the universe’s doing. I’m not a prophet. I don’t possess any direct lines to God or to the universal consciousness any more than anyone else. I am just the earthly messenger.” This principle has guided his thinking for the last 3 years – always looking to reinvent himself with each new moment.

To find inspiration outside of his personal reading and researching, he finds motivation sitting on the boardwalk of Virginia Beach watching tourists. More so, he enjoys the understanding and mindful awareness that comes from living in the everyday world and not separating himself from it.
