Mindfulness in Everyday Life: A Kind Rebirths Way of Returning to Yourself

November 18, 20255 min read

The world around is always moving fast and full of loud fast talkers. It makes and takes many demands of us, more than any person should have to reasonably stand some days, right? But just know, we can always count on our mindfulness to center ourselves. While it is gaining popularity, it is more than a trend. It is a homecoming. It is a return to the stable and steady pace inside of ourselves. From a Kind Rebirth perspective, mindfulness is not simply a practice or trial run, it allows us to return to freedom again. We can intentionally reclaim our inner peace one breath, one moment and one new awareness at a time.

I imagine that most people unfamiliar with the nuances of a mindfulness practice see it as an exercise experienced on a mountaintop somewhere, in a cave, on a yoga mat or in some fancy studio. In truth, mindfulness is something that belongs to the any- and everywhere. It belongs to the morning when you wake up; it belongs to the afternoon while you’re at lunch at work; and it belongs to the evening as you’re winding down for the day. It belongs to your breath before responding to stress and it belongs to the mindset that enables you to choose compassion and peace instead of judgment and anger. Mindfulness works hand-in-hand with the wisdom you have gained over your years of experience in life.

Mindfulness is how you rebirth yourself without needing to relearn lessons all over again.

Mindfulness – the Mind’s GPS

We are presented with countless opportunities daily to reestablish the person we really are. As the world of desire and cravings attempts to pull us away in a different direction, like the “I’m too busy right now” or down the trail of survival mode or into autopilot, let the art of mindfulness bring you back to tranquility. Let it move you peacefully, not forcing and not straining. It’s just a simple ride back home.

Definitely sounds simple, but I know it isn’t as easy as I make it sound. It requires patience and determination and most certainly will. It’s not always a smooth ride either. You can be well on your way and get a flat or overheat your engine. And this is okay. To get there successfully, we have to first let go of the idea of perfection. And that’s okay, too. Perfection isn’t the key; it’s not the goal. The goal is to arrive there with presence…presence of mind and spirit.

A Kind Rebirth is a mindfulness mind and spiritual reset. With rebirth, we can reset our values; we can reset our emotions; we can reset our ideas of truth. Each return trip home is a powerful action that will serve positively in whatever adventure comes next.

The Mindfulness of Ordinary Things

Most people want a grand discovery. Like taking a trip to some far-off land and while there we learn some personal truth from some fantastic journey. In reality, at least in mine, rebirth almost always does not happen in big revelations. It’s buried away and hidden inside some of the most ordinary things and occurrences. I can’t take you on my journey, necessarily, but I can hopefully open your eyes and your mind to looking at things a little differently when yours appears. And that will lead you down your own paths.

Mindfulness and Self-Compassion

Mindfulness is critical, but also at the core of Kind Rebirths is compassion. Compassion for others is significant, but compassion for yourself is paramount. When these two elements aren’t working together, mindfulness is just another unnecessary pressure or demand we can potentially place on ourselves. But with compassion, it becomes healing. It becomes the catalyst of self-improvement and transformation. It allows you to notice any experiences without shaming yourself or placing opinion and conviction on it. While you may be trying to become a “better” person or a “better” version of yourself, remember you are not seeking to replace yourself, you are looking to rebuilt positively what has always been there. But now, you have the tools to reshape and reposition whenever it is necessary. Reestablish your foundation here.

Don’t try and build this Rome tomorrow. Let the rebirth of mindfulness arrive through patient practice. You will begin not to clench your jaw muscles as much when something angers you. You will begin to speak with a calmer tone with others and with yourself. The feelings you try to avoid, you will manage them with forbearance and learn to see things as they are instead of how you have perceived them to be. These small awakenings are pulse of a rebirth and the everyday miracles that occur when you slow down just long enough to notice them. They have always been present, perhaps your eyes just weren’t focused enough to realize them.

Living Mindfully as a Lifestyle of Rebirth

Mindfulness isn’t a task — it’s a way of being and becoming. It is a conscious decision to live with intention rather than trying to keep up with the lifestyle of the impulsive. Leave distraction and delusion behind you. Choose depth and soul over noise and confusion. Living mindfully is living reborn. This is not a one-time occurrence. Living mindfully will last a lifetime. Consider stopping living to survive the eventuality of some unknown existence and start living in the world of the now and present. Rebirth yourself gently and positively in order to transform life from the inside out.

Stay mindful…
